A couple weeks ago, we towed a water skier behind a Hobie Tiger on Lake Tahoe. Got up first try from a full water start! Wind was between 20-25mph gusting to 30+. I've seen a couple old videos of this being done, but wanted to really document the adventure. We attached the tow line with a carabiner to a secondary line attached to each hull, allowing the tow line to self equalize depending on which direction the skier was going, or sudden shifts in steering. The motorboat was great to have out there, not just for the video, but for safety... if we ever got separated from the skier in big waves and flipped the boat, or if he let go and we couldn't find him among the big waves, that wouldn't be good. Hope you enjoy the video, and I'm looking forward to hearing if any of you have tried something similar!
