Hobie Warranty

I am in the process of trying to sell my 3 month old 2015 Hobie PA12. Is the Hobie Warranty transferable? The last several Hobie kayaks I have owned have had enough warranty issues that this is rather important. I thought I had read on this forum that it is transferable, but my dealer says it is not.

Yes, it is transferable / Hobie Cat will warranty a boat to a second owner.

Thank you so much for clarifying that. I think Hobie should get the word out to their Dealers. Several times I have had this discussion with my Dealer and they insist that it is not transferable.

Not limited to the original owner in the warranty text. Hard to get every dealer and every dealer's staff up on all subjects. They are not "Hobie" employees and have many other products they sell.

How long is the warranty? I'm going to be getting a 2015 TI in a couple of weeks. For the price of a small car, I'd think the warranty is comparable.
