Last time we had the Tiger Worlds and 16 North American photos. Always looking for new stuff.

Look at it this way maybe... This year we have 5 sailing months.

We distribute these calendars to Sailing, Kayak dealers as well as the Hobie design group (Clothes, Surfboards, Shoes, Sunglasses... etc.). We have a broad base to please.

I call shenanigans!

This year we had Chris Ray's photos from the 17 North Americans:

And Onne van der Wal's photos of the 16 North Americans:

Don't blame the photo mix on the lack of good photographs of the fiberglass boats.

But we think about sailing ALL 12 months. And we pay dues for ALL 12 months too! :P I want to see fiberglass all year! Keeps me focused.

When you try to design things that do everything, they end up doing nothing well. Maybe it's time to make several versions targeted to specific markets? :?: Just a thought.

Well.

Get those photo's together, and as a group decide which ones you like, make your own through iPhoto or something. Sell them for cost, or for a little more and donate the money to Youth Sailing?

Come on, us Cat sailors are creative people, aren't we?

Shutterfly.com sells one off custom gift calenders at a price of $15.99, sell at $19.99 and donate four bucks to Youth sailing (damn good idea)

I'd agree that a calendar from HCA would be best suited as racing photos, and different from what dealers may get.

But what about 2007 and this long winter.

????

Those are little boats, not little guys.

(That's Pat on the left and me on the right - and we're not little guys)

I just put together a calendar this morning, with all the pictures I could find from Division2 (or San Diego area open regatta's)

I even added the dates for Division 2 races (Another lighbulb)

I think I'll order one, and give it as a gift for our local fleet Christmas party

The calendar supplied to the Class is a free perk from Hobie Cat and not actually a calendar made for that purpose.

Certainly would be worth making an all sailing one if people would buy them for $19.95 though... and buy ALL of them. That hasn't been the case over the years. These are always a Hobie Brand calendar... not just Hobie Cat.

In the future, If you have great shots for a calendar... contact Karen Hodil here at Hobie Cat in the early fall.
