I have an old 30yr old shop vac that I keep next to the boat in the garage, after getting home I rinse the boat off with the hose in the front yard then pull it into the garage. I open the front hatch cover remove my safety dry bag, my extra gallon of emergency fuel (that I have never needed yet) fire up the old wetvac and suck out the cup or two of water i always get in the hull (no idea where it comes from) then suck the water out of the mast holder. I then blow fans over the boat for a day or so, everything has been holding up for a couple yrs now with no galvanic corrosion on any of the aluminum rivets.
When I bought this TI (my 3rd) in 2012 I was a lot smarter this tme around I took can of krylon clear coat and clear coated all the metal parts soaking all the rivets. I then took 3m electrical tape and wrapped all the AKA bars. It's pretty amazing the boats 3 yrs old and all the hardware looks almost new still except for a few minor scratches on the hull bottom (which are super simple to fix, but I only clean the hull bottom once a year. We have ours out most weekends and typically do at least ten to 15 miles a week average with sometimes 50-60 milers mixed in most of the year, the boat holds up amazingly well (really high quality design and manufacture in my opinion). I'm just not foreseeing any problems anytime soon, and I'm pretty happy with my current setup and just want to use and enjoy it even though I bought all the materials and finished the design a long time ago for my new wing main sail I'm having great difficulty getting the ambition together to construct it anytime soon.

Thanks guys, I can probably suck the water out with my hand bilge pump, especially if I put a little section of hose on its inlet.
Hadn't thought of that previously.

I was dreading having to roll the hull on it's side without handles.

I made a simple adapter for the Hobie hand pump from a 1/2" PVC fitting with female threaded on one end. Just screw a short piece of hose into the threaded end and press fit the other end to the bottom of the hand pump. Works well to empty most of the water from the mast cup and rod holder wells after flooding with fresh water.
