I didnt sail this weekend.. but I got my AI ready to sell and took some pictures. I thought I would keep the AI along with the new TI but it probably wont get used. The pictures were a little interesting so here they are.. Any other pictures?

Nice pictures, Walt. Your motorcycle type spray shield is interesting. I've never seen a cormorant nest--and with chicks!

all the bird pictures are taken from the water. There is about a 1 acre island maybe 1/3 of a mile from shore and about this time it gets a huge amount of birds on it - mostly Seagulls, Cormorants, Canadian Geese, some sort of stork. The island keeps out a lot of the critters around who would dine on the baby birds. There are plenty of big owls and hawks around that could fly to the island so I’m not sure why the birds all pick that one island. This is at 8600 ft el and the snow capped mountains are the continental divide looking about toward Buena Visa (a bunch of over 14K el).

The lexan shield is an idea I got from a sailing buddy in Lake Havasu (Gary Meyers). The mesh spray shields work better but I made this and was trying it out as I want to keep the princess (I mean the wife) as dry as possible when we hopefully go up to the Puget Sound in September. The spray skirt probably catches 80% of the spray, that lexan shield the last bit.
