I've recently purchased an installation kit 3 to power my Lowrance Elite 5 Chirp on my 2015 Outback.

Within the kit was the following terminal cap:

I may be missing something really obvious, but what exactly are you supposed to do with it? The instructions aren't that clear and there aren't any pictures, lol.

Thanks for your help.

Those covers are intended to be used to cover the orange and clear wire crimps that come with the Installation Kit. They prevent some abuse and the wire crimp can't back out easily which means there is a less likely chance bad connections will occur.

Thanks for the response, I only got one of these covers with my kit, yet was supplied and used 4 of those orange and clear crimps.

Should I have received more of the terminal caps in the kit?

Turns out that the cap was intended to cover (older model) fishfinder Transducer power plug holes when the cord is removed from the FF. Not compatible with many newer Fishfinders... You can toss it if your FF is newer.

Thanks, I have a new Lowrance Elite 5 Chirp installed, so I can ditch it.

The old transducer plugs must of been tiny!
