What are the chances the 2016 Outback has the H-rail system like the Pro Anglers? Or at least a kit that you can buy to install on Outbacks? Getting ready to pull the trigger on a kayak and seems like this feature would be perfect for the Outback series.

No, but there will be some kits offered in the fall to add H-Rails to other boats.

Thanks, Matt. Other boats in the Hobie lineup, or other kayak manufacturers? I'm leaning towards the Revo 13 at this point...

I had a pa14 and got a outback. The hrail is great but not being able to sling my legs over made it a con for me. Personal preference i am sure. I would like to see hobie offer the yak gear type rails instead like other manufacturers do but make no mistake im a huge hobie fan the no rails thing bugs me a bit but not everybody uses them and they're simple enough to add.

When will the 2016 Outback be available? Will there be any difference to the 2015's?

My dealer said the only difference would be a higher price tag. Glad I scooped up one of his last 2 2015s. This is my 3rd hobie and by far my favorite.

9" and 21" straight H-Rail kits with fasteners. You could use them on any boat or even in your house!

I have a set of 9" on order. It looks as though they will fit in the trays alongside the seat. I think the forward tray is too short. Especially on the 2016 with the new 3 hole lowrance grommet in the front tray.

This is a duplicate post as there is the same conversation going in the Kayak forum:

I got a pair of the 9" H-Rails today. Set them out on an Outback for locations:

In the Tray along the seat:

Will those rails' attachments (through the plastic) be strong enough to use to lift the the kayak?

Thanks!!
