How far to the rear of the kayak can I mount my AMA's? I just picked up a set new in box for 100 bucks. The goal is mostly for bow fishing from the yak, but I will be paddling in most of the places I will bow fish (shallow river) and don't want to interfere with paddling as much as possible. I also plan on adding a sail kit eventually so they will be used for that also.
Right now I would like to put them right in front of the forward most screw in "hook" for the rear bungee tie downs. or pretty much where the life jacket is resting against my crate in this photo. Are there any concerns w/ mounting it here and not right behind the seat like I see in most of the pictures?
