Anyone feeling like they need to up their game, like me, needs to watch this. I don't mean to be ageist or sexist, but if these two teenage girls can go SHRED with their spinnaker equipped 16, you can too. Getting trapped out low and sheeting in hard upwind in strong wind is very intimidating, but I will envision these two sailors for motivation. Live the dream.

I wish the video showed more than just reaching. Clearly they are a good team together, seeing how they divide the work, but it would be nice to see them tacking, flying the chute, etc.

I noticed that they seemed to play the traveler when the hull came up too much (gusts, I guess). Having just installed a traveler on my Wave, I've been reading about its use and the majority of people say to set the traveler and play the mainsheet for gusts. Not everyone agrees, but seeing the way they did it makes me wonder which to try when I am solo or with crew. Of course they have 1000% more skill than me, so maybe that's a factor :?

You can not effectively work the traveler in gusts on the Wave, 14 or 16. The sheet has to be loose to move the traveler. This is desired so the car does not come towards you when you sheet. Use the main sheet primarily. Make adjustments in traveler position due to heading or wind strength.
