2015 PA 14 - Larger Rudder

I know this issue may have already been addressed, but having done a search I was not able to find anything....

I changed out the rudder on my 2015 PA 14 to the larger rudder size. The size difference was very small when I compared the 2 rudders prior to installation, but it has improved steering performance.

I have had several people now tell me that the 2015 PA 14 came with the larger rudder!! Is that definitely right or wrong? Because I looked at the 2 rudders prior to the installation, or am I just crazy?!

No, the larger rudder is only standard on the Tandem Island.

Due to it's sticking out aft of the boat and interfering with the loading skids... we do not think it should be a standard feature.

In addition, the tracking skeg fixes issues the that the larger rudder was being use to help with.
