As we get closer to reacher reality, what would you like your reacher to look like? Hobie might be listening.

I vote for white with a gigantic black "H" Hobie logo. That would work for all boats. The opposite- black with a white logo might even look nicer.

What's you choice of color?

At the start of the ill-fated 2015 WaterTribe Everglades Challenge last March, there were 3 colors of reacher sail: greenish yellow (Jim Czarnowski's), red, and white.

Come on Hobie, we are all waiting! I have one question though... Can you fit the snuffer tube between the akas >without< needing a tramp?

White... no graphic on the spinnaker due to costs and material distortion.

Works with or without a tramp, but works better with. easier line management and bag support / less sag.

Can these be retro-fitted to older Islands or will these strictly be for 2015 and up models?

The AI version will fit older AIs. The TI version fits all TIs.

I'm sure it will be ready for the WaterTribe Everglades Challenge, 1st week in March. Of course, participants will need theirs in time to practice. So, seems they need to be available by Feb 1.

Just my $0.02.

The reacher sail was present on an AI, AI 2, and a tandem, at the ill-fated WaterTribe 2015 Everglades Challenge. I have posted pictures of some of the boats in that event: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=735 Jim Czarnowski, Hobie's Chief Engineer, had his deployed as he launched, and it is pictured in the above link. It is a very powerful sail for such small boats.
