I'm 5'9", 180lbs and I seem to tear through the triangle rings on my 2013 vantage seat after 3 or 4 trips. It's fixable, but it's also annoying. These are the two triangular plastic pieces (Hobie Part # 84507611) that pull the BOA lumbar adjustment straps tight. I always wash the seat after an ocean trip and it is in excellent shape. The triangle rings are the only issue I have had with this seat after many offshore fishing trips over the past 3 years. There seems to be a sweet spot when adjusting the lumbar support. A little too tight and...pop!. The BOA lines cut into the plastic until it finally tears through. I was thinking about wrapping the BOA line loop in a thin flexible tube to reduce the cutting effect, but the BOA line may just slice through that also! I would think that the BOA would release before the triangle fails, but it doesn't. Anyone else had this issue? Found a solution?

Did you ask your dealer to file a warranty claim? Warranty staff would respond with a fix / parts. I am told that it is a "sacrificial part" and mean to fail before damage is caused to the Boa itself when over stretched.

I had this same exact issue recently on my 2015 pa 14. I took it to the dealer and they tried to fix it by drilling a new hole in the center of the triangle and it ripped all the way through. I am thinking about replacing it with a metal ring. Kinda frustrating, luckily however it happened both times at the end of a trip.
