I plan on using a standard mechanical lift at my dock to lift my Pro Angler 17t out of the water when through fishing.
Based on what I have read here, the Hobie cradles attached to the lift would be the safest (for the kayak) way to lift it in and out of the water.
I wondered if anyone used the boat lift method of parking your Hobie. I will need to decide if I should route the up/down switch to made it assessable from a seated position in the boat or install a ladder to climb up and out of the kayak and then engage the lift.
Any and all brilliant thoughts would be appreciated!

I would think you could use wireless remote enabled switch. Is it standard 110? There are about a million remotely actuated 110/220 switches online.

Here is the very first one I found...

And I'll have to find one up/down/off. The one pictured looks like a on/off.

Look at the commercial garage door switches as a search area to start. Others would be chain hoist switches.

Something waterproof and with a slinky style rubber cord.

These might get you in a direction of what you're for.

You only need a momentary contact switch, as long as your finger is on the button its operating in that direction. Once you've released the button it shuts off.

Great advice and clarification on the buttons. As you mentioned, I'll need to find something similar to the link that is also waterproof.
Comical tonight at dinner. I had planned on getting the 17t so my kids and grandkids could ride. Both my son and son in law asked that I get the 14 SPECIFICALLY so wives, kids and grandkids couldn't go!
