Navionics runs a terrible business. I will never purchase another map from them again. I had paid good money for a Central American map which was Navionics gold. The card a couple years later ripped in half and they wouldn't give me any break or a new one. $200 lost, even though I paid for that content. Nope they run a shoddy business in my opinion. Your best off to map your own area and control the content. Hopefully Navionics will be out of business in a few years. Also their website is terrible confusing, you don't know what your getting.
So you expect companies to replace their products that you damage after using it for a few years?
I'm sorry you are having a hard time navigating their website. I found the Help icon in the top corner easy to use and there is even a Live Chat or Contact info for you to call.
NO, I expect them to replace content that I purchased regardless of medium or time frame, obviously with proof of purchase. A fee can be expected, but another full $200 is ridiculous. There is no reason this content can't be supplied thru online download to a licensed holder. I think they try to screw over the customer with their current method of supply/licensing.
I have contacted them through the chat online, even they are confusing in chat, along with the website. I think they could do a much better job of simplification in navigating the website along with supplying paid content. It's like they try to make it mystical, from my experience dealing with them.
Oh well, they lost this customer, twice I chatted with them, their arrogance is amazing. But that helped push me to a better solution, my own mapping. With Reefmaster software I can now use my fish finder data to make my own maps, from my own stored data, far better than Navionics. There is also Lowrance's Insight Genesis for free public mapping. I can only hope Navionics arrogance is properly rewarded in due time.
