Gents,

I'd like to post a follow up thread to the "Lets see it" one that was on here a bit ago that became widely popular. However, this thread has a twist. You must post a photo of not only your boat, but your boat with a girl, or two, or ten. Being a single 23 year old, I'm wondering who I should look up to on this website as the "hobie pimp" per se. If you have any advice on using the boat to woo women, or get them to falling into your arms quickly, I'm all ears!

I had two blondes girls out on my boat last September one day, that was fun. At the time I had only owned it for a week. I didn't think to take photos though. I have a couple girls that want to come out on my boat now too as the weather heats up. This will be my first summer with my boat, so I hope I can take more girls out as well.

I'll start here with a couple photos of girls that the previous owner of my boat sent me as a selling tactic. And yes, I saw these pictures and said "I WANT THAT BOAT!" and bought it 24 hours later.

Maybe soon, I'll return to this board with more pics of girls I take out on the hobie. After all, it will be my first summer with it!

Hey BboySlug,

I guess having girls (women) flock to your boat is very gratifying but I use a more practical approach. Nothing on my boat is for the purposes of decoration. Well, maybe the graphics of course but everything else is functional, especially the crew. I'm sorry but cute (only) won't get it when you're capsized or in 20+ winds. You may as well be sailing solo (which is what I do most of the time anyway}   Oh, you DID say you were only 23 so THAT explains everything. If you just wanna day-sail then that sounds great but finding a crew that will sail regularly with you will require an investment on your part. Training a new crew is a lotta work. One of the first things I would do when training a new crew is capsize the boat. THAT will tell you if they are serious about sailing and are worth training. Oh, I've had some gorgeous women SAY they wanted to go sailing, but they didn't want to get their hair wet.

Nevertheless, if you just want to use your gorgeous boat for a babe magnet and day-sail, then be my guest. Hey, if I was 23, I'd probably be doing the same thing.

Just have fun BboySlug !!! That's all that matters !!! :D :D :D

Dave,

Although it would be preferable to have a girl (or girlfriend) crewing for me at races as well, so far I've been sticking to my buds who are still in college that I used to sail against on our collegiate FJ circuit. They get tired of sailing FJ's because their rating is the equivalent of a mooring buoy compared to the hobie. So for now, I've had to keep my racing crew and day sailing crew separate. Hopefully someday I'll find a girl that will want to stick around and get her hair wet!

David - I love your names on the sail, and the operating instructions on the hull. I may have to steal that idea!

I nearly always sail with females so I might have some good material now or in the future.

Here's my future crew, who might be part of the reason I buy a Getaway at some point.

Here we are sailing with her Outer Banks buddy, Edith (and Edith's mom):

This is my boat being sailed by some cool midwestern girls the weekend I took delivery of it. They brought it out from somewhere like Iowa to race the Nationals at Rehoboth Bay.

Image

Natalie has been my regular crew for the last few years (day sailing, not racing). Adventuresome. Wants to sail in the ocean when I know better, Puts up with me. Thinks high-speed pitchpoles are about as good as it gets.

Image

This summer I'll be going to a few races with Nicki. She also wants to ocean sail but needs some more experience. Hopefully we can work on that this summer.

Not much in the way of interesting action shots but this summer I want to make use of a GoPro. If this thread doesn't get locked I should have some better pics to post.

The best crew I ever had. She was about 12 when this pic was taken. Fearless, loved the water and can talk more trash than any man. Don't let the smooth taste fool ya.

Then one day she grew up, became popular with all her peers !!! Well, you know what meant. Had to go crew hunting all over again. Thank you Bella Mae, wherever you are !!!

No one sails a catamaran in the Pacific without a wetsuit, even on a hot sunny day !!!

I would tell the chicks to quit standing on the hulls !!!

... that might explain my lack of female crew

I used to sail up and down the beach, if I saw something nice looking, I'd pull in and tell her ," my brother in law bet me a couldn't get a picture of a pretty girl sitting on my Hobie" , every time they would smile, get up and sit down where I pointed on the hull or tramp! ! Lol, and I ain't married !!! Lol !
