I am looking into buying a tandem island and would love to tag along with a fellow diver on their TI to get a better feel of how affective of a platform it is.

Hey, Joe. I'm planning to drag my TI over to the east coast near John P and try snorkling from it. I'm on hold now due to a mild case of vertigo, but I'll give you a hoy when I do go.
