Hi all,
I registered my ( now 2 months old ) Hobie I12S twice on Hobie's web site, but I never got any confirmation email ( which is the case with every other company where I registered something )

So I wonder if :
- a confirmation mail will not be sent by Hobie, so thats normal
- something did go wrong internally Hobie servers ( my name contains "o-Umlaut" as I am German )
- something else ?

I read in this forum about some recalls for I12S and my concern is that I don't get those news or that I don't get any fix on guarantee because I cannot prove I registered my kayak.

Does someone know how the registration process works or should work ?

thx and regards

Uwe

Just talked to my dealer here in Germany where I bought the kayak : thex have never heard that a boat can be registered at (? sorry about my english ) Hobie and they didn't know the registration web site.

Why I want to ensure it is registred is because there is this other thread about steering issues with inflatables and a recall "which was send to all registered users".

I only spotted this by chance here in the forum

I registered about a month ago and didn't receive any confirmation.

Uwe the store where I purchased my kayak told me to register it on Hobie's website, so it is recommended. Maybe we should call them to confirm registration.

I called them already today and they have never
heard about registering a Hobie Kayak at all ... My confidence level they handle this is not great :-(
And I emailed Hobie about this topic and didn't get any response
Quite frustrating...

Hobie USA will forward emails to the correct regional distributors. So response may be delayed by forwarding time.

Our registration system here does not supply a confirmation.

Thx for the confirmation.

Now remaining topic for me is the "steering issue with inflatables' of which my dealer has not heard of at all so far :-(

What I am reading it is for all inflateables, not only I11s, which makes sense as it seems to be a problem with folding the kayak.
My boat was produced in August 2015 and I am sure it has not been fixed

Hobie Kayak Europe is the regional distributor. We forwarded your information to them.

Your boat may need the fix if steering has become difficult... from a kinked line tube. HKE has the repair kits.
