what do you think about using this line to lace my tramp
http://mauriprosailing.com/Merchant2/me ... ode=SAMULT

is this overkill? not enough? Nick suggested something waterproof and made of dacron, does this line fall into this category?

thanks

Cory

overkill...any standard halyard line will do.

Samson XLS is sufficient. New England Sta-Set will work and be cheaper.
If you want to spend the extra for a specific color scheme then go for it. :)

Looks like good stuff. Whatever you use make sure it's very low stretch.

What are the pros and con of using 3/8" bungee cord to lace the tramps???
I hear some people do prefer this to the low strecth lines....

In my opinion it would prolong the life of the tramp and its grommets...on the other hand it doesnt help that much in making the frame stiiffer...

anyone?

Alexsails,
Many, many, posts have been made about lacing Trampolines. Every one of them says no bungee cord. Do a search for the topic and everything you want to know, and more will be yours for the asking 8)

After doing a bit of research on lacing with shock cord I can't believe anyone would go the untight tramp route. I do have one question, what is the benefit (if any) of using shock cord to lace your tramp?
Thanks
Cory
BTW, i'm going the route of vanity and getting the line that matches my boat's color scheme

If my spanish serves me properly the spanish translated is:

"ALEXSAILS - you need to stay away from this guy hes a pole. I've got a problem with somebody that makes their tramp lacing match their boat"

Is this right?

My bad - let's do it in english:

Alexsails did a job on his pylon last year and I'm trying to get a hold of him to see if it worked and how he finally did it. Both of my front pylons are rotten and need serious attention.

That's for another post though...
