I currently have a wave with back rests that I dock on a lift in an 11' wide slip. The getaway's beam is 7' 8" vs the wave's 7'. How much wider will it be with the seats?

I measured today. The Getaway beam with wing seats folded out is 10'4". With the seats folded up, they probably add half a foot to the beam. You can't fold them all the way up with the mast up, but it seems like you could drill an intermediate set of holes to put the wing seats part way up if you need to store it with the mast up and need less than 10'4".

I dunno why either. I can fold mine up completely with mast up.

My recollection was that the seats hit the shrouds if you folded them in with the mast up.

The seats do hit the shrouds, but as I recall if you push a little hard you can get them all the way up and pin them through the factory holes. What is nearly impossible to do is to remove the forestay pin to lower the mast, with the seats up, because the seat tighten the shrouds and therefore the forestay.

Perhaps I have my shrouds looser than you folks. I don't have any interference.
