Actually, it does not look like two on the car and two on the trailer is best option. Going to go with a 4 kayak trailer. Anyone have experience with either of these? Any others that you can suggest?

Personally like the look of the multi sport from right on, but performance is more important.

Yakima Rack N Roll

Expensive, but most people are very happy with them and if the wight and storage features are useful to you they can be worth the money.

Here is what we decided on.

http://letsgoaero.com/littlegiant-7-torsion-trailer/

Primarily so we could camp and take the kayaks at the same time. Will help in getting out of phoenix during the hot summer months more often. Plan on putting the side holders for two kayaks and Yakima cross bars for another two. Current options on the table are either 4 Outbacks, or 4 sports, or 2 & 2.

Would anyone have concerns about putting 4 outbacks with this setup? I personally don't, but new to hauling with trailers so wanted to get some feedback.

Thanks
Gabe

I like the idea of a dual purpose trailer. I took a look and I don't see an extension available on the site. You might want to call and discuss with them the length of your intended kayaks and whee and how you wan to mount them.
