I like this setup as I can put the paddle holder on either side along the H-Rail quickly if needed.

I know that you prefer a half-paddle to a full paddle, but I prefer a keeping an assembled full paddle within easy reach. Do you think that using 2 of your modified clips (one at the front and one at the back of the H-rail) would keep a full paddle secure and not interfere with other H-rail mounted rod holders and such? Or would the convex curve of the H-rail preclude clipping a straight paddle at front-and-back? I apologize for asking, but I am awaiting delivery of my first H-Rail PA so I cannot just run out to the garage and check on this mysef!

If it was me, I would just use the single taco clip. If you have it glued to that H-Rail accessory plate where it's not going to move, one clip should be plenty. The bungee strap on the clip ensures the paddle doesn't come out if hit. I just went out and put the full paddle on the left side and took the picture. I normally clip my paddle on the right side.

Not to answer for Steve, but depending on how far apart you set them you should have no issues with two. Heck, my Roto-grip version works and it really adds to the curve the way I use a 9" H-Rail to mount the back Roto-grip.

Listen to SRAces, anyone who keeps a garage that clean and well appointed probably knows a thing or two! Holy Cow that looks nice, now I have something to shoot for while fixing up my farm house!

Thanks for the quick response and the picture, Steve. I called the dealer and added appropriate parts to my order for one H-Rail Taco clip. Should have everything in about a week.
And thanks for the follow-up, SLT. I will probably start with one clip as Steve suggested and if I find waves and chop messing with things too much, I will add a second clip.
