I know there's been a lot of talk about getting the newer style raised seat for the Outback, how about the Oasis (which is a bit tighter with the front seat clearance with the rear pedals.

Anyone have a good solution?

Not quite ready to spring for a new kayak......

The latest seat is not compatible with the old style seat on any of the Mirage Drives -- cockpits were reshaped. Best solution to pedal interference with front seat is to put the shorter person in the back -- they won't push the pedals as far forward. The front cockpit has more leg length as well although the cockpit is a bit "cozier". 8)

I use the Vantage CTi seat that came with my i11s on my 2012 Oasis and it works great, not too high and very comfortable. The only place I the original low seat is on the ocean.
more details on the install here: http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/in ... ic=16922.0

cheers, roger
