So I ordered a 2017 PA14 in Papaya color.

Because I fish where there is heavy boat traffic, this color is my best option. However, I have seen multiple times that these fade super quick. Has Hobie fix it or is there something that I can do to slow the fading?

I have a gallon of 303 protectant that I used to use on my other kayak but I have read that this doesnt help either.

No problems here. In Costa Rica, 2013 TI, looks just fine. When not in use I keep it out of the sun. I never use any protective covering.

303 protectant, applied 2 or 3 times a year will make the color look like new.

Using Hobie UV Protectant (part no. 70060001) and covering your kayak while not in use will help preserve the color. We have great fitting covers for the PA 14 (part no. 72055) that retail at $216

I have used both the Hobie Protect and and 303...IMHO they both work equally well

I bought a yellow PA14 in 2012 & & use 303 weekly. Still looks like the original (except for all the scratches).
