When is the Hobie boardless regatta on Lake Hefner.

I doubt I will be racing but I really want to come see some other sailors and watch the races. I will probably even bring one of my boats up there but just to play around on, none of them are rave ready.

Thanks

The Daggerless Regatta has been moved to Clinton Lake, KS due to lack of water in Lake Hefner.

Still on for April 28-29.

Contact John Eaton (hobiejohn(at)earthlink.net) for info.

Darn, I was looking forward to going to it since it was only a few miles away. Now I might have to get the 14 ready so I can justify driving that far.

There will be a ton of us there, I bet there is 12-15 Hobie 14s sailing. We'll have a biggish 16 group also. Can't hardly wait!

Having it there puts it marginally within range for me.

850 miles / 13 hr drive each way? No problem. Done it before.

Now, do I bring the 14 or the 16?

Looks like I have to find a friend with a 16 to split the costs with now....who has the fastest boat?

I feel stupid for not wanting to come because it is almost 200 miles when you are going 850.

There will some fast 14 sailors there. The southern guys/girls and Marcus Ericson, Ryan Richardson, Taha, Bommersbach, Blanchard, Adams, Bosch will be 14ing, and I have a list longer than that of 16 sailors, including Sohn and Slim, coming. Coin toss for you Matt, crew would be the only factor.

Yeah, crew is a major factor. I need about a 100 pounder to be competitive in that crowd.

How much for the women?

Me and crew are pulling in a 340lbs on my 88/95 Hobie 16. ( have one hull from each of those years, one white one blue, just Image the ridicule you'd have to take if I beat you using that boat!)

Come on down!!!

Centrally located we're just a leisurely days drive from anywhere in the lower 48.

Except for Seattle... that's 27 hours :?
...(2) 16's, four people, only 7 hours each behind the wheel

the Daggerless is also going to be a "Bragging Rights Regatta" between Div 14 and Div 7 sailors. Lots of good competition will be there so everyone come on over. See you there :D
