Does anyone use batton caps on the Tiger main.

Whats the easy/best way to secure the batton.

I have been tying them just like they were when I bought the boat.

Most racers don't use batten caps on the Tiger because of the extra weight & windage it creates. If you're a recreational sailor or racing and don't care than feel free to put batten caps on.

Here's the Tiger assembly manual: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/tigerassy.pdf go to p. 15 to see the correct way to tie the battens.

Wow Greg, I did not know that the weight and windage were such an issue. Maybe I should not, but I do use batten caps on all the battens of the main. The same ones that are used for the Hobie 20. I like the convienience.

Later,
Dan
