Dont forget when paddling you can always put a fill plug in your drive plug and fill it with ballast to help keep COG lower. I just use water so I can fill it at waters edge, but you could use something heavier if you like. I use the taller plug in the revo 16 so it holds more, gives an up stand, rather than flush to hull, providing heel bracing and also a raised dry surface to rest stuff on, rather than just a big puddle in the footwell.

Good idea to make up some more substantial foot rests rather than trying to grip the scalloped hull sides. I bolted on some plastic door wedges at the appropriate spot.

This drivewell plug weighs 24 lbs, filled with lead shot and a binder -- adds significantly to stability, No protrusions.

Add a flush bottom...

...and you have eliminated any drivewell drag.

The only problem is, it doesn't lighten the nose.8)
