The mast base truss system isn't used for raising or lowering the mast base height. Using it for that purpose can cause damage either out of the gate or further down the road.
If the mast furling collar contacts the mast base plate, it's because the collar was glued on just a bit low on the mast. So the fix is to insert/adhere a shim into the bottom of the mast plug, inside the small indent that fits over the interior steel centering pin. Often all it takes is a small disc cut from an old milk jug or similar. Put a dollop of GOOP on it and push it into the mast base indent until it sets. Use two if need be.
Much more than that and you may have to talk to your dealer about the mast furling collar issue, but I suspect this simple fix will work for you.
