Any suggestions on what to use to remove black marks/stains from my Pro Angler? I get black marks on the deck from where my wading boots rest when I'm not pedaling. Even mud stains the deck once it has dried. I've tried using 409 but it has faded the color pretty bad. Guessing 409 is too harsh for the kayak. I've tried Simply Green but have not had ANY luck with it getting the black marks off. I know there are things that will work (Magic Eraser, 409, etc.) but wanting something that's not going to make the color fade.

After cleaning, use aerospace 303 and it will bring back the original color.
The Hobie protectant will do the same to bring back the color.

Yes sir I do use 303. It will but only until the 303 dries up. Then it's back to the faded color. I'm trying to avoid the faded color in the first place.

Thanks for your reply!

My 2015 PA still looks great. Have never used 303 or anything as a treatment against fading. That could be because I store the PA in the garage when not in use. The key I have found in keeping the kayaks and the SeaDek on them looking great is to clean them after each trip. Don't let the mud, fish grime, etc sit for days and set-in to the plastic, because it will.

I use a good car wash soap, washing mitt and a nylon brush. I also spray the tough areas with a house/deck wash cleaner in a separate hand spray bottle. Usually that does the trick. I have a few times used a power washer, but that was primarily on the hull (not the top side) to clean the bottom as all the scratches from fishing in the Gulf with oyster bars tends to collect mud, dirt and grime. The power washer helps clean it off after spraying the bottom with the same house/deck cleaner and letting it sit for 5 minutes.

But again as far as the fading aspect, it really depends on usage, cleaning and storage. Hope you find something that works for you.
