Does anyone have any experience using Interlux Brightside poly for painting your hulls? If not, what have you used with good results? I just got a 1981 16 that has been moored by the previous owner. Lots of water stain and wear. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.

I just finished painting a bunch of junior sailing Sabots with Interlux Brightside and they came out great. We used foam rollers from Ace Hardware. Thin the paint 10%. As you roll it on you will see some bubbles. Lightly knock those down with a good fine brush and you'll get a blinding paint job.

Have you considered buffing out the stains? I'm sure someone will jump in with some recommendations. You might also query catsailor.com for info.

I have found out that you can sand your hulls with 800 Grit sand paper and then come back over with a 1500G paper. After that hit it with some good compound and buff. Then hit with some polish to bring out the shine. Worked pretty well on my 81 with a lot less hassle than painting. Let me know how it goes. Kevin
