What is the best cleaner to clean hulls?

'Bout to find out myself. For the Rotomolded Polyethylene on the wave I am assuming a big pack of geavy duty melamine erasers (aka mr clean will work). probably will use a bucket of 1/4 mr clean and water too

I doubt anything will work on heavily abraded areas , I would not get into material removal myself.

I picked up a 20 old wave over the winter, in great shape - was kept outside for 3-5 years, no beach gouges on the hull. I was gonna clean the hulls, penetrol the mast/rudders and re-rig it, including a new OEM tramp this weekend before our season get in gear. It has IMO a real purdy sail still and I'm looking forward to restoring it - I even picked up a new full set of hull decals while I was at it (dock scrapes).

I'll try to grab pics. The hulls are starting off from a good point in my case, the mast/metalwork/rudder frames needs some TLC, hoping 'ol penetrol can help there (it's kept my jeep tip-top for years). I was going to powerwash the sail and then soak it up for a week with 303. The new trampoline and rigging (all was trashed) will do the most to bring it back, IMO.

The one thing you mentioned was "powerwash" your sail. I would recommend not doing that! Mild soap and water with a sponge should work well. The 303 should work with a light coat.

good tip - I'll leave the powerwash alone - maybe just roll the sail out on the concrete and hit it with a brush and soapy water - I don't need to bust any aged
stitching loose. I'd like to clean the Luff a good bit.

Ah yes, clean luff! Check your mast luff track for dirt. This is a great area for dirt and daily grime to accumulate.
