Recently purchased a ~2018 Wave. Love it, but...I've sailed many boats big and small, and when there's a puff, I yank UP on the mainsheet to release it from the jaws of the mainsheet block. On this boat, I have to push the mainsheet DOWN to release it, which I find very difficult to do quickly. I have to use my foot to push it down, but my foot is not always in the right spot.

I have the Ronstan RF40530, which I assume is the standard block and this is the normal setup. It appears there are three positions on the block - it's currently in the middle one - I'd like to change the position - that may help slightly - but I can't budge the little pin that perhaps lets me change it? Below is a link to the block.

What am I missing here?

Lubricate the pin area to loosen it up. Downward release is preferred on a catamaran. Holding the mainsheet with minimal slack to the cleat, raise the sheet-hand and then snap downwards which sends a ripple down the sheet to the cleat. This if done correctly it will pop the line out of the cleat.
