I have been trying to purchase a aluminum spreader bar (Hobie Wave Bow Spreader - 38999021). I have searched many sites, but cannot seem to find any in stock. I want to put a jib on my Wave.

Would anyone be able to provide the dimensions so I can build one?

Tube outer diameter
Tube inner diameter
Tube length

Thanks!

I was able to solve the issue of not being able to purchase a wave spreader bar. I was able to make one.

I purchased two spreader bar end pieces from West Coast sailing. These fit perfectly in to an old H16 rudder cross bar I have. I just needed to cut the bar to 65 inches to fit my Wave.

I also need a Wave spreader bar, but I don't have an old H16 rudder crossbar lying around. Were you able to figure out the dimensions, besides the length? I am planning on buying some aluminum pipe and making my own, but trying to figure out the inside diameter feels important to me.

I also need a Wave jib spreader bar. Did you ever figure out the dimensions? I plan to make one out of a piece of aluminum tubing. I think that it needs to be 65 1/4" long, with an interior diameter of 1/2". I don't know what the outside diameter of the tubing should be or the thickness of the tubing walls. Any thoughts on that?

I just ordered this, its over kill...

1" OD x 0.25" Wall x 0.5" ID Aluminum Round Tube 6061-T6-Extruded from on line metals .com. The OD for the plastic bushing is a weird size, I'm going to omit it and mount the tubing right on the bow tangs. Probably use some silicone to prevent corrosion from dis-similar metals. I could drill out the ends to use the plastic spacers worst case, no idea how to add a picture
