I need to replace my shrouds and just want to confirm where the length of 18' 10 1/4" comes from. If it measured from the inside face of the thimble (top and bottom one)? Or that's the overall length from end to end of the wire?
Cheers

Generally measured inside surface of thimble to inside surface of opposite thimble.

One quick way to check is by taking a medium length #2 phillips screwdriver, put it through one thimble and push it into your lawn, leaving a few inches of the screwdriver shaft exposed. Pull the shroud out straight against the screwdriver, then hook your tape measure onto the screwdriver shaft and check distance to the inside of the opposite thimble.

This is also a good way to check the shrouds after you receive them to make sure they’re both the same length. Put the screwdriver through both at the same time, stretch them both out straight, and confirm both thimbles are at the same spot.

Thanks for the reply. That was my guess, but better confirm before doing it the wrong way.
Cheers
