I have used Salty Dog for all of custom rigging including shrouds extender systems on my 21SE's . Look on EBay.....and ask for Don Smith and his custom work....he even sizes up the gauge of the wires used for durability.

If you’re using a shroud extender on a Hobie 18, be sure to also use the keeper wire that goes around the dolphin striker post and holds the mast base onto the mast step. Otherwise you run the risk of dismasting when you lengthen the shroud.

Personally, I would avoid using this system due to the dismasting risk and go with a water bag or pole if there is concern about being able to right the boat.
