Looking to purchase new or used Hobie Wave backrests.

Does any one have any Wave backrests they would be willing to sell? Or does anyone know where I could purchase some? The couple websites I buy parts from have them listed as out of stock.

I am also looking for a set of backrests.
I just spoke with my local Hobie dealer, and they gave me some interesting info:

1) Hobie had financial troubles and was recently sold to White River Marine which is owned by Bass Pro. Due to this, they are in a transition period and not really manufacuring anything. They are assembling some boats from what they currently have, but even dealers are having 2-3 year lead time in getting boats / parts.

2) Some parts were never made by Hobie in the first place, but actually Hobie hired 3rd party builders to make the parts. This is the case with the back rests. In this case, that connection with the 3rd party is completely gone, so there will be no backrests.

As such, I would love to get a group of people together and search for a small fabrication studio to make some sets of these. Ping me if you are interested in this idea.
