Hi! guys! summer is back so I´m also back!!

I´m having some trouble with my tiller extension...I wonder if you could help...

I have a black fiber extending model...do you know if I have to purchase a new one will it be the same??

Anyone got any photos of a actual
TILLER EXTENSION HOBIE 18/21 - HC 60550001

I would like to repair it because shipping stuff to Ibiza - Spain is slow and expensive...

Basically I went out today with high gusts...and If I remember wright about a quater of a turn (anti clockwhise) of the tiller extension "unlocked it" for extending....and a quarter of a turn (clockwhise) locked it in desired extention....
If this correct? funcioning mode??

Now the tiller can be turned over and over both ways...and kind of locks unlocks locks unlocks its a pain...

Any advice

That is the Hobie Hotstick or Arriba stick. Same thing.

You can try a repair I have done with success.

Extend the stick fully. Paint some epoxy along the "high" point of the inner core to raise / tighten the fit.

As I recall, it was one application. May have to sand slightly. Didn't take much.
