Hello from a newbie

Hey all,
After seeing a guy pedalling an Outback past our dock my wife & I instantly knew this was just what we were looking for.
We bought "His & Hers" Mirage Sports for casual exploring & fun at our lakeside place.
Areas where I anticipate minor concern -
Adjustment pins for pedal cranks seem to have a lot of play... the cranks look like anodized aluminum, are the holes going to get bigger and sloppier with use?
I may want the tiller to stay where I put it, can enough tension be safely put on the lines to do this? or maybe a spring that brings it to center? Or maybe it won't be an issue at all once I get out & use it...
This forum looks like a great resource. I'm itching to try these babies out but will have to wait a few more days. Meanwhile absorbing all sorts of knowledge from posters here!
