OVER 5,000 Forum users!!

We are now over 5,000 users and 37,000 posts as of today.

We now excede Catsailor by well over 1,000 users.

I have found the forum very helpful before and after the purchase of 2 Hobie Mirage's.

The best part is the quality of the caring, dedicated people posting!

They post their opinions, someone else with might disagree and post their opinion. All without slamming each other or belittling others. It makes for easy reading without the BS you find on other forums. Some have great sense of humor.

I want to thank those of you who have taken the time to do in depth reviews and pictures. It was worth all the time and thought you put into it for the rest of us. Thank you.

You should all congratulate yourselves for sharing quality information and yourself with others and making this forum the quality place that it is.

3 cheers for all!

Bruce

I love these forums but am shocked by the fact that it beats catsailor.com, I am active on both and honestly thought that there were more active people over there.

Matt, I am only seeing 4300+ menbers in the list I know the bottom of the index page says 5043 or something like that, but which number is correct?

http://www.hobiecat.com/community/memberlist.php?mode=joined&order=ASC&start=4350

And not nearly the number of posts.

Don't get me wrong, I love this site also. I have gotten tons of great information and entertainment from both sites, not so much with The BeachCats site which I hear is also a wealth of Information if you can find it (the info, not the site).

Sam

Common guys... it is like a birthday celebration! Comparison to Catsailor was only a reference point to the number of users we now have active in these forums. The number of posts was not compared. Certainly Catsailor should have many more posts as that forum has been running for many more years.

I know and 5000 is impressive! It just didn't seem to make sense to me.

Do you know how many Hobies are out there? A lot.

The info on this forum is way more helpful and there's way less smack talking. This is free factory support for a product probably purchased in 197?. That's pretty incredible.

If more posts = higher quality. Invite Wouter over here... :D :D :D

No, lets try and avoid that.

As for better info....I can usually find just as much quality info over there, but when I was first learning about the 14 this site was a haven!

Go Hobie Forums!![/quote]

If not for this forum we probably would have wasted a lot of time and money getting our "new to us" 1981 H16 in the wonderful condition it is in. I know that H16 assembly video recomended on this site REALLY helped us out! The support from Hobie customers and employees on this site is a priceless advantage that most boat owners could only wish for.

Like Surf City Catamarans stated about free factory support for a product purcheased maybe decades ago...It's GREAT! I love the idea I can buy replacement parts for my older boat with no problems, I'm so glad Hobie dosen't change everything every few years to make their older boats worthless. As stated we have an older H16, and we'll buy additional catamarans in the future. Maybe even a factory fresh one (Before our exposure to Hobie I swore I'd NEVER buy a brand new boat). For us it would only be reasonable to stick with a company that has this kind of attitude. I have always admired Hobie Cats and said I'd eventually get one. Now that I have and see how the company backs their product I'll have one as long as physically possible, inspite last weeks heart attack (That sucked) I hope that to be a VERY LONG time!!!.
