cafe press is a great idea! I love it, great way for people who can't attend the race to get a shirt! I'll defiantly buy some as I'm sure most people, especially those who always want event shirts will too. Will the monies raised go to the fleet, if any is made of course?

I recently bought a 'Dirty Jobs' long sleeve tee shirt, so can look like my hero Mike Rowe.

Did you see the one where he was swimming in the sewer in Mexico City? Crazy! Now thats a dirty job!

Good idea on the cafe press. Does it work out financially to use their services? Could your regatta make a little on the side for the effort?

You can set it to make whatever $$ you want to. I don't think we'll be doing much more than a teeny bit to toss into the general division account, but thats it. Its more of a service than anything else and we got a bitchin' logo we paid big bucks for, so we want everyone to have it!!
I'll get started pretty soon and make everyone aware of the where and whens. BTW, we were not the first to think of this: Fleet 295 out NY way has had a small store for a while now. I don't know if they have promoted it like we're going to, but visit it and see what you think.

The cafe press idea is cool. It makes it so the fleets/divs don't have to stock a bunch of merch. And no wasted overstock. I like it.

This is for CW:

It's not "Dirty Jobs" but it's a dirty job!

Hey Jeremy, lets get a big bunch of people and go to Catalina in '09. A zillion boat floatilla and then we'll get shi# faced on Buffalo Milk and Tequilla shots! It'll be awesome!

YUCK!! Can you imagine what that guy smells like after coming home from work?

Looks like we have a winner. This is something the Hobie class should look into doing. however its easy to suggest that, making it happen is a different story.

its to late for this year, or is it. I'm sure at least once a month there is a good picture from a Hobie regatta that can be used for that month.......

Chris you're on it!

I'll help if need be.

I say have people submit shots on this forum. We take an informal vote and try to presell 50(?) That way we get a price break and people aren't paying money out of pocket.

Chris, You got a paypal account?

I'm in for 10 calendars.

Okay, I got this. I just went into my handy dandy Cafepress store (order soon and order often!!) and I see that I can make a calandar on it with a different picture for every month. Its $20 plus shipping to buy.
SO, I'll leave it to you guys to send me the pics and for which month you want them BUT I get to put that pic of my 14 and her broken mast on April (my birth month)
OKAY????
I imagine there has to be some easy way to get the pics in order on this forum for us to vote on it right?

Crap! If someone can do a calendar of "Fainting Goats", we've got it made.

I've got literally thousands of photos from 2007 we can use - we just gotta ask permission and give credit.

Someone knows how to do it. Should we start a new thread?

BTW, not to be a pita, but vistaprint is $15+ship for the same thing.

The only real advantage to the Cafepress store is no min order, stocking etc.......its a 5 spot more, but realistically, I could have it up in an hour and off we go. I am willing to do this, but if we need to go elsewhere, I'll let someone else volunteer.
I changed my mind about the broken 14 pic too, its just too sad!

Jeremy, seeings how your a dealer and all, why don't you take a minute and give Dan M or Jeff Alter a quick email and ask if this is okay. You just never know what pisses people off....... I have my store set at minimum profit of course, but anything that IS generated on this calandar project, I'll send to the Hobie Youth Program.
Would you do that?? Please???
thanks buddy
