Grinding Castings...ARRRRR!!!

So, I'm putting together a 16 for the KC Sports Show this weekend (shameless plug) and I decide to bust out my sweet set of original EPO's and virgin adjustable castings that I've never found the time to install. All we have to do is file a bit off, right?

I've got four (censored) hours in this project, and at this pace, still have two to go Figured I'd do the lowers first, they're bigger, get the hard part over with...wrong, the uppers take much more work. I'm using a knurling tool on a drill motor getting so hot I can barely stand to hold it and a brand new $14 file. The trip back and forth to Sears is NOT included in my time!!! I'll shake your hand at the Sports show, easy to pick out, I'm the guy with the bandaged up knuckles.

I'm waiting the Matt's, Jeremy or Brad to chime in here and tell how I COULD have done it in an hour

Certainly the older "original" EPO blades were a pain to install on some castings. Took lots of grinding as I recall. I think I used an angle grinder or very agressive file to do it.

New EPO2s are a totally different story. They fit.

sounds like you need an air file for that application, or maybe a reciprocating saw with a file attachment
