are those images a sticker or painted on. If sticker, what sort of place do you get them made at and is it expensive?

I have the same set of single blocks up on the inner hulls as you do.No one can tell me what they are for.In your picture it appears to be for a righting system.Just curious.

thats for the under tramp righting system. the rope goes from the stern to the bow rollers bach to a roller under the tramp to the other bow and to the other stern. then the center block has a shock cord to keep it tight while not in use. I had both systems but liked the dolphin striker rope set up best . and i have flipped alot of 18"s
i believe it was called the hawaiian style righting system

Yes, they are most likely for a righting system, it was really popular in the late 80's Blue and White braided stretchable cord. BUT it dragged in the water under the boat ... on the side ... behind ... I race and that is SLOW, so I removed it and went back to the simple "tie a line to the dolphin striker. Besides I could never reach the "d_mn thing when capsized with out climbing up the boat to grab it which tried to "turtle" the boat. I have the system in a box around here somewhere ... anyone want it?

I have a "Murry's" Tamp bag permenately tied on that the righting line is kept in, along with my "Throwable" I must carry for John Q Law on a 18' watercraft. (they do like to write tickets on beautifil Sunday afternoons)

For years you didn't need a registration on a non-powered <20' sailboat, now they want everything registered. It's about the authorities gaining power and $$$$$. And I don't want to put some ugly black numbers on my old but nice shiny, clean boat !!!

I do like the Shark's mouth graphics, I think is the little detail of the "GILLS". Thats a really "sweet" looking ride you have there.

And the video: excellent!, and bonus points for the Beach Landing while on the wire. Is it me or am I the only one to notice that your H-18 was rolling over those H-16s .... WOOF ... WOOF ...WOOF !!!! in the end.

Harry

Yeah he's right shawn, those blocks are used for righting lines or at least thats what i use them for. i just rigged them up in a way that made sense to me. Put some pics of your boat on the forum so i know what to look for on the lake this summer. thanks for the compliments on my vinyls guys. im a war bird buff, i stole them from the Chinese Air Force, "Flying Tigers" squadron. they put these markings on their aircraft, the Curtiss P-40 "War Hawk" . these guys were a large group of American fighter pilots that volunteered to fly for the Chinese government (for triple the normal pay)to fend off repeated attacks from the Japanese on China during WWII. just F.Y.I
