Sounds great. I'll like to help with the concurrent kayak regatta. I'll talk with Tim at Dana Point Jet Ski and maybe he can help us in this event, too.

Kirk, great job with the Regatta! With a strong contingent driving down from Central California, the AI fleet looked very competitive! Additionally, the small sail and pedaling events offered something for everyone!

Tim and Chris at Dana Point Jet Ski and Kayak Center were great hosts, providing parking and launching facilities in an otherwise very congested harbor and prizes for the events.

The weather was perfect and it looked like everyone had an enjoyable time! Thanks to you and the Dana Point Hobie Kayakers for a splendid event! 8)

It was wonderful that folks drove all the way down from Central California just for this event. ('')

I would like to thank Ron Critchley for the wonderful water shots. His regatta pictures are now posted online for everyone to view/download. Click here: http://web.mac.com/kdbundy1/Site_2/Photos.html

It looks like the next event (Southern California Hobie Kayak Event #2) maybe on the San Diego Harbor (South Bay) sometime in August. I'm working out the details with the SCUZBUMS ( http://scuzbums.org/ ). Annie Kolls said we are welcome to join them for their small boat regatta. I'll post details at a later date. Stay tuned!

Kirk

P.S. Don't forget the big 40th Annual Hobie Cat and kayak event on Oct. 4th. Dana Point Yacht Club, D.P. Jet Ski and Hobie are putting on this event.

Hi Todd,

It was great having the Northern California kayakers participating in this event.
