When using photobuchet and the like. Right click over the pics and click properties. Copy the actual pic file, and paste it between those two tags. Your turn.

I like the next one in that series:
Image

"How far should I make that next weather leg, PU?"

"Put it way the f**k out there. I don't want them coming back for another hour, at least."

"Mark 1, Mark 1 - Signal"

"Go Signal"

"How much anchor line do you have?"

"About 250 feet"

"Go out at 185° until the depth sounder says 200 and drop your change mark there. Let me know how far out you are after you drop."

"Mark 1 copy - heading out to deeper water at 185°."

First time I ever set a mark by how deep the water was. Last race of the 2007 Hobie 17/18 North Americans, A.K.A. "The Distance Race".

:::::Laughing::: at Matts version of that race.

Part of the rest of the story ....

Steve: Where the %&$% is A-Mark??

Sabrina: I can't see it.

Steve: can you Still see the lead 17 ?

Sabrina: I think so.

Steve: keep an eye on the front few and watch for them to turn start truning around:

1/2 hour later

Sabrina: I think I see 17's headed back this direction,
YES, there's the change mark.

Stephen Where?
There?????
You're kidding me.... this is turning into an endurance
race ::Laughing:::

Later, while still sailing to the weather mark, while passing a 17 sailor headed back to the finish line.

17 Sailor: Turn Back, it gets ugly from here to the mark.

Sabrina: whats he mean by that?
Stephen: I don't know, guess we'll find out, I'm not turning back now.

Later, the wind and wave action picked up significantly and made the rest of the weather leg a bit of a chore.

It was all good, we had fun, and it gave us something to talk about as we were geting the boats ready for the trip home, and later that night at the awards banquet we all had fun sharing thoughts on the length of the last race.

Toms version of that race:

Steve: Hey Tom where is the mark?

Tom: I dunno, just follow me.

Steve still beats me... :(
