Stepping the Mast

I had one of those a couple years back, and it failed halfway through raising the mast. My mast twisted out of the gin pole clamp, and fell the rest of the way, snapping the mast base in the process. I was lucky in that no was walking nearby....if the mast had hit them, it would have severly injured them, or possibly even killed them. Heard rumors of a new mast stepping system, hope its better than the last one.
