<<<<<What is the very last 18 on the first pg. Doesnt quite support the squaretop as faster on an old boat does it. I just bought my sail so im done with this thread. Thanks for all the help.>>>>>

This race doesn't count. CATASAURUS fell off the world into a big ass hole near the finish.

The GIRLS got LUCKY and found the same breeze we did.

Sails had little to do with finishing positions.

His boat still LOOKS good!

To re-it what Karl and others have said, if there's an opportunity, don't "cheat yourself" out of the chance to race OD on a Hobie 18, you'll learn a lot from some great sailors. If you can, get some class legal sails.

...and Stephen is right on with this statement
Quote:
The Hobie 18 platform is one of the most versatile and indestructible platforms out there, further, in MY not so humble opinion, it is one of the finest catamaran designs ever conceived, engineered, and built.
truely a shame

You can put a post on our Forum at
Fleet204.com

I'm sure he'll see it.

"Jackson" is Sean Smith the son of Jack Smith who has done chase boat at the Madcatter for about 25 years.
When Sean started coming around everyone said "That's Jack's son"
So, Jackson stuck.
He's hard to miss at close to 7ft tall.

I brought an 18 mast with a comp tip for "Jackson" to the H-18 NAC's in New York. He is a neat young man, and a heck of a sailor.

Like so many I met in person for the first time in Seneca, it was a pleasure.

So Sean would be correctly spelled "Jacks-son"???? (Ha Ha Ha!!!)

Tell him that the H18 sailors of Div11 would like him to bring his LARGE physique south ... We look forward to seeing him!!!

I'll try to post on 204's website ... must likely I'll scr_w it up though!!!

Harry

I want to say I respect soulcat's decision to
get a class legal sail. It's good to support your
local dealer as I did when my 17 needed a new
sail. I wish you success racing OD. I raced my Getaway
open class div B round Shelter Is, had a blast and
corrected to 2nd last summer. As long as everyone
enjoys themselves..doug

Thanks for the compliments Jack & Barbie but the truth is that I made a bone head tactical move and went to the center for more wind and the girls just rode that damned lift into first.

I'll be honest. I just LOVE that word 'Chilliwack'. What a great name for a town! Right up there with Walla Walla and Cucamunga!

If you like those.. you'll love Spuzzum.... about 45 mins drive north of Hope on the way to Hell's Gate. And if you come Hwy 3 from alberta, you'd pass through Yahk and Osoyoos.

just think of the things you'll miss if you don't come and visit this summer... :)
