Anyone else had to have their hulls replaced due to a crack. If so, how long did you wait? I'm almost at two months.

Thanks

this depends on where you are in the country.
You want your kayak to be shipping on a Hobie dedicated truck, not LTL!
Depending on the dealer, we pull a hull out of inventory to keep our customers on the water, if we do now that the color in stock they need we provide them with a loaner kayak, however this is our in house procedures not Hobie's

There is no delay in the process at the factory. Claimed hulls are ordered the day the claim is reviewed. Length of time would be transport related for sure. Sometimes dealers can do it right from their stock as well. If you have not yet done so, you can send an email to warranty (at) hobiecat (dot) com to confirm the hull has been claimed and is in the system.

Somethings not right if it's been 2 months! My experience has been very favorable in that I think I waited maybe 2 weeks. You need to get on your dealer!

I just dropped off my poor little Outback at the dealer due to cracks in the drive well. I also asked my dealer if, under warrenty, I could ask for a Revolution hull if the Outback hull indeed needs to be replaced. He thought I might be able to do that possibly with a little compensation for differing hull costs.

Anybody here done that yet -- replace a hull with a different model hull?

Thomas
