The time is coming to paint the boat. in my world we use Imron, Polane, and Kem 400 on everything! they're tough as nails and I can get them in any color from Sherwin Williams. what do you guys consider the best paint for these boats. I'm not interested in putting a new gel coat on it, just changing the color for aesthetic reasons. I don't care how much it cost as long as its sprayable and lasts a little shy of forever.

If you do a search, there was a loooooog thread on painting. The imron is good stuff. If I ever find a stb hull, I'm going to have my boat sprayed lime green. I have a relative who owns a body shop and owes me a favors.

That was my post on Catsailor but, just to reiterate, I didn't spray my boat or change its color. And as I also stated, the polyurethane was pretty thin. Not sure it would be best coverage on top of a different color. Years ago I painted a Triumph with Imron. It did look good nearly forever. And you shouldn't have to worry about rock chips in the water.
