Onemoretoy,
I hang my Getaway from a simple hoist I built in my garage.
I used a 110V electric winch from Harbor Freight connected through four hoisting lines, which are in turn run through pullies attached to transversely mounted 1" square steel tube lag-screwed to the ceiling trusses.
Before I back the boat into the garage, I pull the mast aft and run the base under the starboard wing seat. The bob rests on a shelf near the ceiling of the back wall on the port side. This puts it an an angle which fits into my garage, which is about the same depth as yours.
When I hoist the boat up, the mast goes up with it.
With the boat up, I can store my ATVs underneath or park a car.
The whole setup cost about $175. It is nice to keep it out of the weather entirely. The best part is that I leave it rigged so I don't have to mess with rigging the shrouds each time I take it out.
