But what about the name...mega...meaning one million?

I suppose if you called it havakilo (1,000)...doh, wait, maybe a little close to our Southern border for that name to work.

So what's the word for 100? centi? havacaenti? Na...

A byte is eight bits, and we went to a couple of two byte regattas last year. hava12.5byte? hmmm...

Guess we use computer stuff with giga capabilities every day and never get close to needing it.

I think '09 will see a rebound in participation numbers, one hundred is doable. And we've all got one year left to make it happen!

I'll go on record now and say there will be over 200 boats @ Lake Havasu in November 2009.

The Original Hobie 18 Fleet is also showing a strong response and is running a close second to the Tiger Fleet in pre registrations. As a matter of fact, 18 foot Hobies make up over 1/2 of the preregistered boats so far.
:D
This is gonna be the Biggest Hobie 18 Nationals in many years.

Stephen

Heck, there's going to be 3 FXones, (so far) there. It'll be big. Plus waves.

Hhmmmmmm............kinda mean, but I like it. Good one.
Karl, you have to admit, even if it was at your expense, that was pretty clever.....

Well, it wan't originally intended to be mean. But it is funny in that context.

What I meant was the fact that there would even be three FX1's.

I was gonna comment, cause theres nothing quite as much fun as kicking a man while he's down .......... but this would be just piling on, and thats not nearly as much fun.

All kidding aside, I understand the uphill struggle that Karl has, and I for one am delighted to see that he will have a chance to sail in a Fleet.

Let me be one of the first to wish you luck for a strong turnout, the opportunity to sail well, use the lessons you have learned from sailing in other nationals, and learn lots more about how to make the FX One go even faster.

Stephen
