you said current, right?

Air temperature: 12  but that's at the airport down by the river

Tommorow and Sunday will be in the low fifties, we'll do repair work instead of sailing. I'll bet the Flying Scot boys are out.

Hey, hit me up sometime if you want to sail together. I'm in Oshkosh.. have an h16 on Lake Winnebago.. but I've always wanted to sail in Lake Michigan! I don't have a wetsuit though... but I go to sheboygan to play frisbee golf somewhat regularly! Wish I could instant message you my contact info... shoot me an email if you are interested. adam at steineke dot com

I'm 31... 6'1", 250ish. ;) I have a sweet new trap harness that I haven't used yet cause I'm a chickensh*t.

As for water temps... I honestly have no idea, I see the lake is starting to freeze though, so I'm definitely not sailing, but I did just get back from a week in Annapolis sailing a 43' monohaul! Was brisk, but tons of fun!

This morning it was 17°F with the wind at 18 kts. That's a "real feel" temp well below zero F. And it's only November!

Lake St. Clair water temp is 42°F.

The boats are all snug in their winter beds. Will not see the water again until late March - Midwinters East.

At Jacksonville Beach, the current sea temp is 63 and air is about 65 now and heading to 72 this Friday, which happens to be the day I have targeted to squeeze into my wetsuit with another half-crazed buckaroo and take a final lap around the Atlantic.

This time of year the Right Whales head down the eastern coast to the Fla - Ga calving grounds and they hang out here until about March. I've had a few spectacular whale encounters including sailing along side a 35 - 40 foot right whale about 15 years ago. He started getting frisky and dived down for a few minutes. Then we saw him coming up under the hobie. It looked like a submarine heading to the surface and we veered at the last second as he was rising. I don't know if his intention was to flip us but it was as close to a Nantucket Sleigh Ride as I would want. Then we just followed him out to sea for a while. An extremely memorable day.

I might sail it a few more times this year but it appears to be getting much colder much earlier this year. Hhuummm !!

At the Oakland Airport:
Air 65
Water 60
Wind 0-5

In Fall and Winter the winds come only with rain, and we have so many good days that it's not worth it to go out in the rain.

The Cop who helped Un-Turtle my boat today said the water was still 63. Pretty high for california novemeber. Global warming........... ut oh

Air Temp/Water temp are about the same where i live right now
60 degrees... Not bad just probably need a wetsuit and a windbreaker. Gotta love California. Can sail all winter long. Cant wait for summer!

Hey sgtpepperoni00

I sail out of Dana Point every weekend (usually Saturday). I launch my WAVE from Baby Beach. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Hey CptanPanic:
How long have you lived in Lake Worth? I graduated from LWHS in '75
